Expect to hear more about stricter state requirements for technicians...following on the heels of little Emily's tragic death.
"Emily's Law" in Ohio will require all techs to pass a board-approved exam. Next year, Florida will require techs to register with the pharmacy board and get live CE, law CE, and med errors CE.
Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and Washington, DC all have new laws...or laws in the works...to require training, certification, registration, and/or CE.
