There's now a new med for type 2 diabetes, Avandia (rosiglitazone)...from SmithKline Beecham and Bristol-Myers Squibb.
It's a new "glitazone"...similar to Rezulin (troglitazone). A third one, Actos (pioglitazone) will be out later this summer.
All three lower blood glucose by improving insulin sensitivity.
